Martha Mbunwe

Achievements: Martha built a cassava processing plant that employs 15 women and produces flour and garri for local and regional markets. Contributions: Her work empowers women economically and ensures that processed cassava products are more accessible and affordable for the community. Profile: Martha grew up watching her mother process cassava by hand, a labor-intensive process that yielded little profit. With a vision to ease this burden, she acquired a small processing machine and started a plant that now processes tons of cassava weekly.
